The HR Generalist is responsible for performing a wide-range of human resources functions. This includes, hiring, on-boarding & off-boarding, benefits administration, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, claims administration, and serving as the primary point of contact.
This person will also support our consulting clients on human resource projects. This may include hiring, policies creation, handbooks, employee matters, etc. There will be ample communication with clients required.
This is a hybrid position. Our team is onsite Monday-Thursday and works from home on Fridays.
Job Responsibilities:
Hiring:
- Lead the full-cycle recruitment efforts both internally and for clients, including: drafting job ads, posting job ads, reviewing resumes, candidate sourcing, phone screens, interview coordination, offer negotiation, and reference checking.
- Qualify candidates for desired skill set, culture, and competencies for current or potential positions through phone, virtual, or in-person interviews.
- Develop recruiting and lead generation/sourcing strategies to remain competitive and innovative.
- Update applicant tracking systems (ATS) and spreadsheets for candidate tracking records, including: conversion rates, time to fill, source of hire, etc.
- Maintain and document billable hours for clients.
- Foster and maintains relationships with clients and candidates. Serves as point of contact for questions and support during the recruitment/interview process.
Human Resources:
- Lead the on-boarding process for internal new hires, including: background checks, offer letters, confirming first day, orientation, initiating equipment setup, and office supply planning.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve morale and retention.
- Partners with managers for performance management and evaluations. Acts as witness and investigator for internal discussions, PIPs (performance improvement plans), and verbal conversations.
- Administers and understands company benefits, policies, and procedures. Is able to explain thoroughly to team members as inquiries arise.
- Track, support, and administer HR functions; trainings, holidays, birthdays, reimbursements, employment claims, performance reviews, keeping, profiles in ADP, etc.
- Assists with company-wide events and projects, employee engagement activities, and other company-wide initiatives/projects as assigned.
- Maintains office inventory and places monthly supply orders. Serves as point of contact for property management.
- Other tasks as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
- 3-6 years of human resources experience required. Experience working with external or internal stakeholders is a plus.
- Knowledge and proven success utilizing MS Office applications, CareerPlug, ADP, and LinkedIn is preferred.
- Enjoys interfacing with team members, clients, candidates to build rapport.
- Ability to meet deadlines and understand time-sensitive material.
- Demonstrates discretion; understands the importance of sensitive and confidential material.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Understands federal and state laws; stays up to date with new regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Off-hours communication may be needed for time-sensitive matters or to retain client relationships.
Flexible work from home options available.
Compensation: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
